  Yeah, these just seem silly and tacky - like e-invites. Just scribble out a note and stick them in the mail. It's really not that hard or expensive.

  Just to be clear...I'm really not considering these.  My wedding is in a month and to make things easier I wrote out the envelopes already with addresses and stamps so all we have to do after the wedding is write the actual notes and put them in the mail.

  I wouldn't necessarily side eye it for something like a birthday gift, in fact my sister sent me one this year (and I'd gifted her an amazon GC via email, so there's that).  But she sent me a thank you card in the mail for her baby shower gift the following month.

  When you click on the website, step one says that you "Create a free, secure online address book that your friends fill up for you". So not only do you not care enough about me to jot a note into an actual card, you also want me to fill it out to myself???

  I actually used this site to create an address book. I shared it with my brother recently when he was writing some thank you for donations he received. I did not use the e-card portion. But for storing addresses, it's great! So I can't bash it. Fully.
