Engagement party question!

Hi!

I know this is the destination wedding board but I figured I might ask you all anyways. We are planning an engagement party in 2 weeks and we have about 70-75 people coming to a nice Italian restaurant for a sit down dinner. Mainly so people can celebrate with us since we are having a destination wedding. Do you think we should have place cards at this party? We have a lot of mixed family/ friends so I'm not sure what to do! If you have any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate it!

    With that many people I would suggest assigning tables. Perhaps a nice frame at each table with the list of assigned guests.

    I would definitely do place cards! With a group that large, it can get awkward trying to find a seat, and will often depend upon people's arrival times. You don't guests to be "saving seats" for those they haven't seen in awhile, and if you have two guests who havent met before and you think should/know they will get along great - this is the perfect opportunity to do that! Sounds lovely enjoy!

    Thank you so much for your suggestions. I am going to do place cards after spending over a week with the seating plan! Thank god I'm not having a huge wedding
