Christian Grey...

Charlie hunnam dropped out of the movie. No news yet on who is playing C.G.
I wonder who will replace him.

Re: Christian Grey...

  • Really?  Huh.  I wonder what that was all about.
  • They said it was because of his busy tv schedule that he has no time to prep for the part.

  • This makes me happy. He was no C.G. to me.

  • I am bummed. I think he was a great choice!!! I hope they find somebody who can really fit the bill!

Well I think the scheduling reason was B.s. I think he didn't want the role.

Eta: Jennifer ehle is cast as Anastasia's mom.
  • Exactly ow much prep does one need to pout and say "shut up.  sit down.  do what I tell you," and then moan, over and over and over again. A couple of hours of pay per view should do the trick.
  • Thats the reason they gave, doesnt mean its true. They probably realized they can do better.

  • I'm hoping for James Deen. The only way this movie is going to be any good is if there are actual sex scenes.

@WonderRed I think he dropped because of the fangirls. Don't blame him at all.

  • Does anyone else feel like the people that liked the book won't like the movie?  I don't mean in terms of them changing anything, just the fact that reading something with rather pornographic scenes is typically more enjoyable for women than watching it.

  • I don't know how they will make this into a good movie.  We've all read the book, and doeydo, you are right, it is better in our mind.  Who ever does these roles are taking a HUGE risk.

I think people who like the books never like the movies... Movies can never capture the essence of your imagination.
  • I read that he didn't want it to tarnish his reputation... Which I think is fair! The books were super weak so I don't see how they will make it into a decent movie.
