Re: CHEAP VENUE AND CEREMONY HELP -DALLAS TX AREA

  • What is your specific budget? Do you want a venue that is all-inclusive or DIY? Any particular place in Dallas? And do you want separate ceremony and reception sites, or all in one?
And please try not to panic...
  • WHERE in the DALLAS area to you want to have your wdding?

  • My cheap venue of choice was the Lofty Spaces. I decided not to do cheap though lol.

  • Some people have gotten married on the rooftop of El Fenix restaurant in Downtown Dallas and have said it's an affordable option. Hopefully they will chime in.
  • We are getting married at the Historic Anderson Building in Grand Prairie, TX.  We will be having our ceremony there as well as the reception.  The place is beautiful inside and out, but the great thing about it is the pricing...you pretty  much pick and choose what you want and pay according to the price laid out...you can have as little or as much help from the venue coordinator...and they do EVERYTHING for you...all you do is show up the day of ready to enjoy your new life!  If you are interested in checking it out, go to www.carlosandcarla.com. Good luck!

This was me! My budget ended up being around 10k including photog/video/transportation/dress/rings/venue, but El Fenix was an incredibly affordable option and they provide nearly everything for you (Tables, linens, chairs, flatware, stemware). They have 11.95$ pp and up food packages (which was more than enough for my guests) and it is $10.95 pp over 21 for 3 hours of UNLIMITED alcohol (margaritas, beer, wine). Considering that my group was a big group of drinkers, this turned out to be the best venue for our budget since it included everything and I didn't have to rent anything. <div>

Look into The Corner Weeding Chapel.... It's in Bedford, not that far from Dallas (maybe 25 mins)...
  • I'm having my wedding and reception at the Double Tree by Hilton Campbell its really nice and I got a good price, including food and beverages.  I also had a buget of $6,000 and now its closer to $10,000.00, but it almost over.
  • Our budget is 5K to a max of 7K budget no more because we won't have more.   We booked with Times Ten in Fort Worth.  I had checked into over a 100 places and they by far was the best for us but they only hold I think up to 75 people.  We also liked the heard museum but we found it would get pricey fast.  We also checked out el fenix but with the new pricing it was too expensive for us.
  • Fort Worth Botanical Gardens could be a good option. The Japanese Garden rental for a 2 hour ceremony time is $350; you could easily fit up to 30 people there, go to a local restaurant in downtown Fort Worth for your reception. Easily doable under $5k :)
