Help! how to pick BM dresses

I have my dress, I have had it for a year now and am still in love with it. I got before we booked a venue and but didn't consider if it would go together. I think it will, however I am having a very hard time finding a style of dress for my bridesmaids that will fit the venue, my dress, their budget, and body types. My venue is at a historical park, we are getting married at the gazebo and then the reception will be in the barn. I didn't want the event to be too fancy. It will be in late June in  sw ohio so most likely hot and humid. Does anyone know what kind of dress to look at for mine. Picture of my dress in white attached, but mine is ivory. I wanted shorter and light material but will that match???????

    Why don't you just give them a color and length and let them find their own dresses?
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    I asked my two sisters (co-MOHs) and good friend (bridesmaid) to buy any dress they liked in any shade of purple.  With three different body types, not to mention budgets, it put me at ease knowing they'd each be wearing a dress they liked, could afford, and felt comfortable in.  And one less decision for me ;)

    I had the same issue. Honestly, it was so much easier to just have them pick their own dresses. 

    I found a designer, line, length, and color I liked. I asked them to pick within that designer's line - they get to wear a dress they like and flatters their figure, but they still look pretty uniform (same designer, same dress aesthetics).

    Thanks everyone for the responses. I don't know why this one thing is such a hard issue for me but it has been. I really like and hate the idea of having the ladies pick their own dresses. It's way less stress for everyone, BUT I am a bit controlling and am afraid I won't like them. LOL I have decided to look at some at DB and asked them, then let my BM chose from a couple what they like from that point.
