My aunt found out in Feb that she's got lymphoma. She's been having treatments and things have been going well.

My mom went with her to treatment today and the doctor did an exam first. He noticed she was having tenderness in her stomach, so he wants to do a pet scan to find out what is going on. So no treatment today, pet scan either tomorrow or Friday. My mom was trying to sound positive "they're just going to check it out" but I didn't like the tone of her voice. She's worried.

I just got back from lunch with mom. She said the doctor didn't feel anything after my aunt said "whoa that's tender!" but he wants to do the scan to be sure. She initially had a swollen node there the size of a fist but it had gone, all of them have.

The scan is monday and he's going to compare it to the scan she had in April to see if anything is going on.

Update:

My aunt is in remission! They don't know what the tenderness in her stomach was, but everything looked great in the scan!

Ugh.
