JJSHOUSE

Hey all :) I just wanted to make a post about this website because I feel as though it is being misrepresented in a lot of the posts that I have seen. This site has a wide selection of Bridal gowns, Bridesmaid gowns, Mother of the Bride gowns, flower girl...etc. My grandmother and my self-purchased gowns from this website. This wasn't an easy decision because of all of the negative feedback I’ve seen. The dress my grandma got was style #008006218 it’s a floor length off the shoulder dress with beading on the one side. Let me just say I was incredibly impressed by what we received in the mail. It came UPS in a small box which I would say is one of the only downfalls because the dress is horribly wrinkled. But the stitching is perfect, not a seam out of place. The beading on the one shoulder is hand beaded, really beautiful work. The dress also came with a lining on the inside. I really was searching hard for something negative I could say about the dress and I mean it when I say I couldn’t find one! The dress she ordered was also a custom order which means you can order it for your personal measurements, the only problem that she encountered was that she came herself too many inches for her stomach section and it came out to big in that area.
After I saw her dress which is for my wedding I decided to purchase a gown for me. I really want sleeves and as I’m sure most of you ladies know every single bridal shop basically only has strapless it’s such a drag. I ordered style #017025436 it’s a Mermaid Sweetheart Sweep Train Chiffon Evening Dress With Lace.  I liked it because of the sleeves so we ordered custom fit in Ivory. My dress came in a small box in plastic wrap and the dress comes inside out to protect the fabric. My dress I was disappointed with because it just is not what I envision myself being married in, too old looking for a bridal gown which I guess I should have seen I was just looking at the sleeves. The fit was also off in my chest came out way too big but not sure if it was because of the style of the dress and also I’m sure a seamstress could have fixed it. Besides the fact I wasn’t happy with the dress itself it once again was impeccable workmanship. I would say to definitely take a chance with bridesmaid or other dresses but a wedding gown is a little too personal to take a risk like buying online unless you’re willing to be out the money because they are giving us absolute hell about returning the dress even though their description of the dress did not say it had beading or sequins at the time of purchase and when I emailed them they said it did not, well when it came it did. I think your best bet would be is to try on dresses first in a store to get an idea about what style looks most flattering on you before you order and definitely get measured and do custom fit.

  • I still think it is simply unethical to purchase knockoff dresses (or anything else), even if you don't end up with shoddy craftsmanship.

  • Well, compare your experiences with ALL of those women out there who had such AWFUL experiences, and...I don't like the odds.  And, since I'm NOT a gambler...I wouldn't run the risk.  And, since MOST women have a budget, it just seems like a potentially bad risk for something most girls dream about from a young age.

And, as @bunni727 mentioned; it's unethical to buy a knock-off of someone else's work, plain, pure and simple.
  • i was simply offering a review ladies lolol
