I'm going to be making my own cathedral veil and was searching for lace appliques and lace trims, and found a horde of all things lace, flowers, feathers and pearls! He he!
If any of you are considering making
shoe clips, fascinators, hair clips, rosettes, etc, check out this awesome site I found! (
CLICK HERE) You may have to surf past the first page to really get what I'm talking about. There are silk flowers, corded lace appliques and other lovely things already put together for you!!!! You can add feathers or clips or combs or whatever you need, but this site is going to seriously cut down on my work! If you want feathers, look in the feather trims section. There are ostrich, guinea, etc! Hmmm... I'm going to be busy. And the prices are fantastic.
I was looking at some of the flowers and things on sites like saveoncrafts, but it was too expensive to buy all this stuff separately. I'm definitely going to be making my veil/fascinator using some sort of flower cluster found on this site.

My other (somewhat good) find of the day was a search on etsy for "
vintage cake server" or "
vintage cake knife". Lovely finds there too! I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but IMO it's much nicer to buy an antique with some character than a shiney boring new thing for the same price. Unfortunately, I don't have this option, as a cake server, knife and toasting flutes were already purchased for us. I haven't seen them yet, but I'm fearing the worst*. :P
