  What venue is it?  I would think with that being the issue, you could easily put the pressure on them to allow what you want, or, simply have a third party caterer bring it on wedding day and tell them to deal with it.  I can't imagine they'd risk the public humiliation of refusing to accept your vendors vegan wedding cake when they had no option to supply you with what you wanted.

  I just checked my email and I have received a response and THEY will allow a cake for my groom and I.

  For my guests I will be sticking with freed`s since they have done ALL OF my sister's, my cousins or my baptism, communion, confirmation, graduation, wedding or baby shower.

  It's a ways away but the FH and I keep tossing out ideas and I think we've narrowed down to a few things.

  Cocktail hour

  Veggies and fruit display

  Cheese and crackers display

  Spanakopita(passed)

  Bruschetta(passed)

  Caprese skewers(passed)

  Figs with honey and feta grilled(passed)

  
  

  Dinner

  Starter

  Caesar Salad or a mixed salad with choice of vinaigrette

  
  

  Appetizer-not all of these. These are just our faves

  Flatbread Pizza

  Minestrone or Pasta Fagoli minus the bacon

  
  

  Main course

  Spinach and ricotta ravioli with a garlic cream sauce

  Or

  Spinach or just cheese lasagna

  Or

  Broccoli, garlic and olive oil penne

  Or 

  Stuffed shells

  
  

  Then DESSERTS! TONS OF ITALIAN COOKIES AND TREATS
