    I didn't get to the part where I actually help yet!

    Depending on how old you are, this could be only mildly age inappropriate.  Or it could be wildly age inappropriate, to the point where it is a symptom of family enmeshment and stunted emotional development.  If it's the latter, it's trite, but therapy really does help.

    Oh c'mon.  No one was bashing you.  It's a little odd.  I'm trying to think of how I felt moving out and while I was nervous about being on my own finally, I was really excited too and ready to get into that chapter of my life.  Unless you're moving far away and aren't able to visit or pick up a phone cheaply, it just seems a little odd to be this upset about moving out of your parent's house.

    I did read before you DDed, so...
    why have you never lived on your own?

    No desire for independence?  yoiu had it to good at 'home'?  no money?

    When you say you've never lived on your own, do you mean "never more than 1 night away from home--if I stayed away, who would make my PB&J for lunch every day?  no crusts." or do you mean "well, I've lived in Zimbabwe as an exchange student for a year, but I moved back home and I really loved having an adult relationship w/ my parents here"?
