Any tips on hair extensions?

I got hair extensions for the first time yesterday. Does anyone have any tips about maintenance? Updos? Even brushing my hair is weird.

    Use a soft bristled brush. Try not to catch the part where they are attached while brushing/combing your hair. Sleep with them in a ponytail so they don't get too tangled. Do not rat your hair, sray huge amounts of hairspray in it, and then decide to take a nice long shower! (I had hair extensions my senior year for a play I was in at school. I got my hair done for prom and it was a disaster to brush my hair out the next day. The extensions were so tangled they ended up ripping my hair out with them).

    Be gentle with them, and you should be fine! :)
