Using Your New Name?

Though I don't plan on using it for another 40 days, I just set up a gmail account in my new (married) name.

Anyone else do anything like this yet?

I have new email accounts ready to go for both personal and business. I also set up the new health insurance, which starts the day before the wedding under my new name. Two of my judges are calling me by my married name already too. Everything else has to wait for our license.

Any account I create that can't be changed later is using my new name, and I can't wait to change it on everything else!

I was so happy to switch to my married name, no one could pronounce my maiden name! Its been a happy time since then, although its a common name and people ask me how to spell it? Ive NEVER seen it spelled any other way.

And this! I've kept my XH's eastern European last name all these years and everyone hates it. That's why my judges have already switched. I can't wait to have a normal name again.

FI's company was bought out by a big company and they're in the process of switching everything (benefits, insurance, etc) as of Nov. 1.

I've asked him to find out about adding me to his health insurance NOW instead of after the wedding, since he's got to enroll all over again.

I haven't switched anything to my soon to be married name. I probably won't change my name on my RN license til may since I'll have to renew it anyways. I have a common first name as a last name and my FH has a first name as a last name and since I have a unusual 1st name everyone thinks my last name is my first name. I can just see myself spacing at a dr appt and them using my new last name and not respond when they call me

I already did create a new email address with my new name. I've got the list going of all the places that need to be changed - it's really long!

But I can't wait to do it. Although now my FI is telling me people misspell his name a lot, so I guess I'm not going to get out of having to spell it.

Yes I did a few weeks ago and sign it here and there because it's going to be a huge adjustment.
