100 Love Its 100 Comments Second Anniversary Name Dropper
in African American Weddings
Bought the tulle for my isles, paid florist in full and had a brunch for my bridesmaids and gave them their gifts today. I made smothered potatoes, bacon, turkey sausage, veggie sausage, eggs (made to order), fruit, bagels, donuts, two kinds of mimosa's (orange juice and tropical fruit)... They loved the food and their gifts. We had a ball, eating, dancing, drinking and laughing. My shower is next Saturday! How y'all doing?

    Ummm... Can I please be a bridesmaid and you do the brunch all over again??? LOL You for sure showed out with all your cooking!   what gifts did you get your bridesmaid?  Still trying to figure out what I want to get mine besides matching robs/shirt for the day off.

    @Lovelylove84 I got them silver heart shaped key chains with their initials on them (very good quality, solid with a nice weight) and t-shirts that say bridesmaid blinged out across the chest. And a wrote each a thank you card.

    One little "special" thing that happened.  My maid-of-honor forgot about brunch.  She wasn't there by 11:30 so I started serving the other ladies.  Well, by 12:30 I figured for her to be this late is unlike her.  So I called her and she answered the phone, "hey", I said how are you?  She said "fine just laying around." I said "oh, you don't have somewhere you need to be?"  Her "OMG is brunch today?" Me "yes".  Her... ok ok ok i'm so sorry I'll be there shortly".  She lives 5 mins from me.  I'm going to let this slide because I know she's been putting a lot into my shower this Saturday!  I told her I hope to remember to come ;-)
