Wedding Planner

Hey guys!!
I hope all of your planning is coming along well!! Its amazing how time has flown. We have been engaged sine March of last year and I was like plenty of time to plan! I started off great and then slowed down. Now I feel like the wedding is not far away at all. Still so much to do....Alast, I was wondering...are any of you thinking of using a wedding coordinator or planner? I thought about it and then said I am good without one, but now I am thinking about the small details and want to make sure they get taken care of!!

Re: Wedding Planner

  • I'm only using a day of coordinator. I like planning everything myself, but on the day of I don't want to have to do anything except enjoy myself.

  • I was reeeeeally considering a day of coordinator because I'm super 'Type A' and a bit of a control freak, but they tend to run $1000+ around here, and we're having a very intimate wedding (read: 35 - 40 people), so another part of me wonders if it's worth it for me. I keep thinking, who will man the iPod since we're not having live music? Who will set up the escort cards? Who will make sure the one or two vendors I have get paid? I really don't want to leave that up to any of our family/friends because they're guests and shouldn't have to "work" at our wedding; but at the same time, a few have insisted that they want to take on some of those tasks. It's definitely a tough decision in our case, but I think I'm going to choose to forgo having one and learn to let go of the reins a little :)

  • I am also using a day of coordinator and my caterer has really been a huge help with planning for other aspects of the wedding outside of the food/drinks as well.
