Hi Everyone! This is my first post on the board. Fiance and I are newly engaged and are currently looking at wedding venues in Chicago, IL. Our dream venue is Salvage One, which we have toured and are currently reviewing costs for. As a Plan B we are considering Promontory Point run by the Chicago Parks District. The rental fee (under $3000) seems very reasonable compared to all other places we have considered. But, because the venue requires so many rentals, I am concerned the cost of the wedding would end up be significantly more than expected. Could anyone share their proposed budget for this venue or your total cost if you've previously had a wedding here? Fiance and I are hoping for a total budget of $25,000 here.
