H and I got married on 10/5/13! The day couldn't have gone any better, except for all the rain.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Things we missed due to rain:
First look- The bridal suite was just down a small hill from the chapel we got married in. The venue was at a Historic state park in Green Bay, WI.
We missed a lot of pictures outside due to the rain. We still got some, but not many.
Forgot the anniversary dance (this was in place of the garter/bouquet toss).
I didn't get my three generations picture with my mom and grandma.
Interesting things that happened:
H's sister threw a huge fit when she was asked to come back in the chapel for family pictures (still trying to figure out why, oh and she's 32).
H's mom called me by the wrong name during her speech (thanks MIL).
BIL got completely wasted. Apparently he was drunk at the bar we stopped at for pictures (it’s right on the water and has a very pretty view, plus the building is cool). It was all good though, last year at this time he was going through chemo for Stage 3 Hodgkin’s, so I am glad he was able to have a good time.
Honeymoon: We went to Upper Michigan and did some sight seeing. The first two days we were in Munising, MI. They are known for their park, Picture Rock (apparently Kid Rock shot a music video there). The second place was Mackinaw City. It is just a big tourist town with tons of fudge shops. The third stop was Mackinac Island. The island does not have any motorized vehicles (so they say, we saw a few). Everyone gets around on foot, bikes, or horse drawn carriages.(this part of the trip was my most favorite). The last part sucked. H wanted to stay another night so we ended up staying in Manistique, MI. Well there is NOTHING there. By the end of the trip, I was ready to be home and snuggling with my furbabies.
