Honouring Parents!

A few years ago I went to a wedding where the B&G honoured their grandparents (Some alive, some passed) They gave the ones present a rose and the officiant said some lovely words about how the grandparents had been such role models in showing the B&G everlasting love and so on.

I want to do something similar but honouring our parents. We are having a Hawaiin DW and have been thinking about saying some lovely words and presenting them with a lei.

Anyone done something similar and willing to share their wording to give me some ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Honouring Parents!

  • I'm assuming your officiant will be native Hawaiian?

Ask him or her for some traditional, respectful wording.

    The lei is very symbolic!
