"holiday cookies"

This is the only thing left on the sign up sheet for 6let's Halloween party.  What constitutes a Halloween cookie?  Can I do rice krispie treats with Halloween sprinkles mixed in?  Or the break apart ghost cookies?  Or I do another cookie with sprinkles mixed in?  Or do they need to be cutouts?  They need to be nut free and to get those at a bakery are pricey otherwise I'd grab a tub of pumpkin shaped ones at Meijer and call it a day.

I'm hoping someone else signs up, but if nobody does I want to have a plan for Thursday.

Re: "holiday cookies"

  • do krispie treats. please do not do those break apart cookies; they taste and look like baked erasers.

  • I think pillsbury does a slice and bake with halloween shapes.
  • We did the Pillsbury ghost cookies this week because 6let loves them.  He'd be all in for it, but I'd rather do the rice krispies.
  • Meijer also has lofthouse w/ Halloween sprinkles :)

think anything that resembles any attempt at fall colors counts.
  • I think Lofthouse cookies are disgusting and they make a mess.

  • Make whatever you want - Rice Krispie Treats are better than cookies anyway.
Best thing about DD's school going snack free: I don't have to make a darn thing.  It's so much less stressful on a daily basis, and for special events, to not have to worry about snacks.
  • I wish ours would either skip it or just include it in tuition.  I've brought it twice this year already for 30 kids- 2 classes.  The parents in the other room just today figured out the sign up sheet was only hanging outside our room.  I was the one that told them.
  • M&M cookies with halloween M&M's?
