Wedding Invitations & Paper

2 Invitations - Destination Ceremony / Hometown Reception

I am looking for ideas on doing two invitations. We plan to do a destination ceremony in Hawaii for ONLY close friends / family, then having a hometown reception for everyone. I am looking for help on wording both of them. I'd like the hometown to tactfully explain that we're planning to marry elsewhere but "you're invited to celebrate with us at our reception".

Re: 2 Invitations - Destination Ceremony / Hometown Reception

  • Your "hometown reception" isn't really a wedding reception since those are meant to thank your guests for attending your ceremony.

Your destination/family wedding will be a standard wedding invitation:

    Together with their parents
    kirs10pea
    &
    kirs10pea's Fiance

request the pleasure of your company
as they are united in marriage
    date
    time
    location

    For your celebration:
Please join us for dinner and cocktails
to celebrate the recent marriage of
    Mrs. and Mr. Newlyweds

    date
    time
    location
