it's too early to snow! ;(

We have our first snow or the season already! :(. It's too early ;(.
Hoping it's not like last year, where we had a 3 foot dump of snow and -35 c on Halloween!

Re: it's too early to snow! ;(

  • Meh.  We always have snow before Halloween.  I think we've only had 1 year in the last 10-15 where there wasn't.  It's supposed to be nice again anyway next week

  • @KnotPorscha - Any update on bringing back the location of the posters under their name?  I know it was supposed to happen, just curious when.....
  • Just a little dusting of snow up here - I think the worst we've had is a quarter inch or so on the grass, and it's melted away already.
  • I'm in central Ohio and it has snowed TWICE here. Ones it barely stuck to the roof and tree branches (gone in an hour or so) and the second time was just flurries...  Too early for this crap.

  • I snowed here a few years ago, lol. It rarely gets lower than the 40s. I think maybe like twice a year it will get in the 30s.
  • I want it to snow so badly!! Everyone's been saying that this winter is going to be pretty baller when it comes to coldness and snow, so I'm totally stoked. I'd give anything to live in Vermont again and enjoy real winters.

  • I'm just excited because it's been under 90 consistently for a few weeks!

  • I checked my phone an hour ago and it said the town I work in was having "Light snow" (And the fucking picture they had with "light snow" are two christmas tree cookies oO)
Not ready for snow. More accurately, my car is not ready for snow. I need new tires, and I'm holding out for the black friday sales Sears has.

So, hopefully no snow till after Thanksgiving.

  • I hate winter and everything to do with it.  I would happily celebrate every Christmas with no snow.   It's the only sucky thing about living in Canada.  6 more months till spring!!

  • It's already snowed twice here. We had three inches a week ago.  We're supposed to have flurries today and tomorrow too.  And then Saturday it will be back into the high 60's just in time for our day.  Colorado is a fickle fickle mistress.
  • Hey, @JoanE2012 we're still planning to have locations added back underneath members' name. Unfortunately I do not have a final launch date yet. Will keep you posted!
  • @winston's girl, where in Canada are you? I'm in northern Alberta
  • No snow yet in New England, although a couple of years ago, our first snow was on the 15th and it was very cold. Looks like we'll have cold, cold rain this weekend.
  • We got a light dusting of snow on Sunday in Edmonton. Not much, but enough to let us know winter is coming!

I heard other areas of the province would be expecting up to 20 cm- that's too much :P.

You know, I wouldn't mind the snow so much if it wasn't so cold (somewhere between 0 and -10 C) and we could keep the summer day light. Then I might actually enjoy going out and doing winter activities.
  • @natswild - I'm an Edmonton girl too.  I had the impression you were in GP.  Not sure where I got that from though

  • I live in Sexsmith, about 20 km north of Grande Prairie, so you were right ;)

Ha!!  I almost burned down your high school once.  :D

ETA - but it totally wasn't my fault and so not on purpose

  • Weather is crazy over here. One day it's hot and another it's freezing.
