Bacholerette Party Ideas with Under 21ers

My Maid of Honor and I are starting to plan my bachelorette party, but we have one major dilemma: Both she and 1 other bridesmaid are under 21.  How can we have an amazingly fun and crazy Bachelorette party while still bringing the under 21ers along?

Re: Bacholerette Party Ideas with Under 21ers

  • Depends on what your idea of "amazingly fun and crazy" is.  Obviously you won't be able to go out to bars unless there are 18 to enter, 21 to drink places.  Where are you located?

  • I saw an episode of Bridezillas where the bridesmaids threw a slumber party bachelorette party. Of course the bride bitched them out over it, but I thought it sounded like a lot of fun.

  • I think for mine we are going to downtown Chicago via the train. Then spending the night at a hotel and walking around Michigan Ave which is known for its shops. I will probably have 1 under 21 and my sister will be 21 but she can't drink.

The only other one I went to we went downtown and did a lake cruise lunch. Saw a show and walked around some. Then we did go to a bar that evening. But we were all 21+

  • I've been to a bachelorette party at a baseball game. It gave people who wanted to the opportunity to drink, but wasn't a party based around drinking for those who prefer not to (or can't due to age). It was really fun!
  • mani/pedis, movie, dinner, group  cooking class, sundae party while watching some great chick flicks like 27 dresses or bridesmaids.

  • Depends on what everyone's budget is and ability to take a long weekend, but renting a lake house would be fun. Go to a concert, the spa, an 18 and up bar, or just out to dinner.

  • Dave and Busters, or some arcade/restaurant type place.

  • By the way, you should really not be involved in the planning of any party in your own honor. Let your MOH handle things.

I think if the MOH asks for the bride's input, she should be able to give it... I'm not sure if that's the case here, I'm just saying.

I agree with you.  The MOH needs to be the one who initiates discussions, but once she does, the bride is entitled to input.
  • cosmic bowling would be a good idea too. Fun music, food and alcohol for those over 21. Just an idea on top of everyone elses
