disney/universal orlando

Hey all! I'm in the process of booking an orlando, fl honeymoon, and i'm trying to figure out which online sites will give me the best deal. Has anyone had experience with booking recently? We're looking to travel august 25 to august 31.
What a beautiful mess this is...

Re: disney/universal orlando

  • We haven't booked anything yet, but if you go on the Universal website there is a multi-day pass where you can book for 1,2, or 3 parks (if you do the 3 it is unlimited I think)!!  If you plan on going to more than one Universal park I would definitely look into that!!

Also, if you are wanting to do any Sea World things (and you like dolphins) if you go to Discovery Cove there is a ticket to either Sea World, Aquatica, or Busch Gardens (in Tampa Bay) included in the cost!!!

    Good luck!!! :)

  • My FI and I have been to Universal Orlando - I booked everything seperate. We stayed at the "Rosen Inn"  - it was across from Pointe Orlando (a nice shopping area) The hotel is by no means a honeymoon type hotel.  It was inexpensive and close driving distance to everything.

Universal is awesome!! We are thinking of doing a Disney honeymoon :)
  • FI and I have been looking at booking a trip to orlando soon.  We've been twice before.

I think travelocity has the best deals, honestly.  You can book hotel/flight/car and tickets too (they have a deal where if you buy 2 days at universal you get the third free, I'm not sure what disney deals they have), and it's cheaper than booking separately, as far as I have calculated.

    Have fun!

  • We are doing a disneymoon & staying onsite. there are sooooooooo many hotels. i would pick one by looking them up at trip advisor. There are also vacation homes. Undercover tourist has a bit of a discount on tickets as well.

  • I was going to mention Undercover Tourist and MouseSavers.com for discounts. MouseSavers also has a lot of tips and tricks for DisneyWorld.
  • Last time my FI and I went to Disney we ended up renting a condo/house from homeaway.com It was less of a hassle and it was IMO a little cheaper since we bought all of our food and cooked it ourselves and it was close to everything.
