DJ Service at a good price

What is the average cost of a DJ service that would include Music (for around 6 hours) and Monogram Up-lighting?
I'm tired of giving my info to local dj's. I just want pricing.
I found one for $650 who came highly recommended and only an additional $175 for monogram uplighting.
I know its a good deal, just don't want to miss out any better deals that might be out there.
Suggestions?

    We are paying about $2000 for unlimited time (read: about 12 hours of service). My recommendation is to read reviews. If there is a DJ who will give you 6 hours of music for $650, there might be an issue. We read reviews and met with a few DJs in our price range and we were instantly impressed with the service we signed with.

    Based on married friends advice, you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to DJs.
