June 28th Brides....

What have you all accomplished so far for the BIG DAY??

Me personally i have a few things sorted out but still a long way to go!!

    So far, I have the Venue, the dress, bridesmaids dresses, band and dj, florist, videographer, photographer...day of coordinator and I think that's it so far...Still so much to do :(

    Not nearly as much as I should! We're working on a limited budget that we're saving in increments so that hinders us...do you ladies have any tips for hair/makeup, or cheap flowers and cheap chairs?

    We are saving in increments as well. So far I have my dress that a dear friend gave me..STD are going out in the mail by the end of Oct. We have the venue, DJ. I have an idea of a lot of other things though...I have a lot to do.

    So excited I found this board! 

    So far I have venue, caterer, my dress, band and DJ, and am getting ready to send out our STD's...felt like I accomplished more than I actually have haha!! 

    We are using a family friend who owns a bakery for our cake, but haven't settled on any flavors/etc. yet.

    I have a goal of bridesmaid dresses, photographer and florist by the end of November..wish me luck ;)

    Wedding will be the 28th of June.

       Do you have any friends who are good at make-up? Maybe they can teach you how to do your face yourself or maybe they'd be open to doing it for you. I would also suggest Youtube...if you're up for doing it yourself (you could learn how to make yourself look the way you want to look) and I would also check out Thumbtack...I found my photographer/videographer and florist there. It's worth a try :)

    We have our venue, dinner caterer, DOC, DJ, photographer, officiant, but we still need a dessert bar/cake vendor and someone to do our appetizers for cocktail hour.  And, a few bartenders (it is a DIY venue).

    Most of the decor is done.  I love painting/making things so all of the decor has been DIY.

    Once FI finishes entering in all the addresses, we are sending out save the dates.  I made them back in April, so I've been itching to get them out in the mail.

    I have a spreadsheet and we put in the same amount every month to apply it to wedding expenses.  It's actually working out really well for us! We can't wait!!! Wish it was here already. We have been engaged since May 2012 and while I'm glad we have had tons of planning time, I wish my wedding would get here already!  I know I know.. patience. I'm trying!  Good luck to you all!!!

    This board is exactly what I needed to see right now! It's been a tough week...

    So far I have booked:

    Venue & Church, Photographer, Florist, Catering, Linens, Hotels for Out-of-Towners, Save-the-Dates, Favours, DJ, Centrepieces/Venue Decorations, Guest Book, Invitations and most importantly, MY DRESS!!! :)

    I'm super excited and can't wait for this day to come!! Good luck to all of you!!!!

    Wow a lot of you girls are on the ball. We finally booked our venue and I have a photographer and that's it. I have an idea on my dress but might go back in and change it. Also an idea for the bridesmaids dresses but need to figure out who is even going to stand up. Having issues with fiancés family. Still haven't fully decided on colors yet. Have so much to do but hoping to get a lot done before the end of the year. My fiancé is busy with work and I just had a baby 3 months ago and also moved into a house. I know a little backwards for some people but that's how it happened. Have no clue what I even want to work on next. Wish me luck girls and good luck to you ladies also.

    You are definitely one busy lady!  I would think the first thing is colors & style.  Everything else flows from that.

    Im a June 28, 2014 bride as well :) We are doing a black/white/fuchsia/tangering color scheme with fireworks/country vs city theme. Bought the dress, bridesmaid dresses are ordered, groom/groomsmen tuxes are decided, ceremony reception will be at my grandparents property, started working on our rose petal aisle runner (55 feet to go :/), need three more pairs of young kids boots to get so they can be painted and half grafitied for centerpieces, got our matches for our sparkler gifts, florist booked, officiant basically booked (have to wait til jan/feb to be sure she isn't going any where), save the dates already out (doing it on holiday weekend with a reception on july 5th in MN, so we wanted anyone who had to split holidays with family to be prepared), great aunt is making the invitations, catering and menu done, photographer booked and paid for, bridesmaid gifts, DJ/videographer, hotel prices for out of towners, cake idea made and baker booked, just trying to find good picture frames for our photo booth wall :)

    aisle runner has had a little more done to it (bout a foot past the bottom of the V), wagon will be painted white and have orange and pink tulle wrapped around it, cake will be white, black, white, with bottom fireworks pink, orange, pink, orange, middle ones will be orange, then top ones will be pink, (this will be a fake cake, we will have two sized cupcakes surrounding it looking like a firework), then my dress :) that when I get it next month, we will do an alteration on the front to make it a high low so that I will have plenty of airflow and to show off my white boots :)

    I love the petal runners.  I did one last spring, but for just the edges of the aisle (pic).  Just doing these edges took long enough, so I can imagine the time you are putting into yours!  Beautiful, BTW!
