You know your stressed when...

You drop 15 lbs in 3 weeks... Yep... I can't complain though, I have been meaning to try and lose some weight!
When you almost burst into tears when your boss decides to "pretend" to be angry and give you a hard time.
When you honestly debate on whether or not the people around you will judge you if you walk over to a wall (or your steering wheel) and beat your head against it repeatedly.

I am ready for stress to be OVER! Anyone else?

    (Got stuck in the box)....

Can I just lose 15 lbs in 3 weeks without the stress (or changing any eating/exercise habits)?

Mine is - you know you're stressed when: you wake up at 3am and decide to go over your bank accounts and anticipated income just to make sure you can still afford life. At 3am. Cuz it felt necessary.

  • Thanks @bubbles053009! I figure eventually I will either adjust... or things get easier :-) BTW, I hope everything is okay on your end too! I know your BF and his family have been through a lot lately with the passing of your BF's father.
  • @Hummingbird125 - I totally know that feeling! Not at 3 am though, jeez that sucks!
  • I just cry when I'm stressed. A lot.

  • @bubbles053009 it is good to hear that you guys are doing well. Moving in sounds exciting!
  • I know I'm stressed when I go home, try to go to sleep, and end up listening to 6 or 7 Chopped episodes in a row.  Or when both cats cuddle me at the same time - they must sense it.

@psychbabe314 - Hope everything gets better for you soon!

  • I know I'm stressed when I take a full Atarax instead of half because I'm so tired and just want to sleep.  whoops.
  • I also know I'm stressed when everything else I'm doing takes priority over going to the bathroom (because apparently a bathroom break takes too much time) so I end up doing the wiggle dance a lot.

  • @Swazzle - thanks! and drinking does sound good :-) I am making plans to get trashed on Friday!!! Not a little drunk, but full out trashed... might end up on the floor, drunk. I think I deserve that once in awhile :-D
  • I know I'm stressed when I eat an entire sleeve of Oreos.

    STUCK!!

    1. it's you know YOU'RE stressed. Sorry, I can't help it.
    2. @hummingbird125 - that is always when I do my best stressing, ESPECIALLY about money. When I was really struggling a few years ago, I would wake up in full-on panic attacks about my bills/money/etc.

  • I gain weight when I'm stressed.
Also I drink all the wine.
Both of these have happened this week.
  • @CocoBellaF - there were Oreos in the break room yesterday. . . I ate 2 of them instead of my lunch (which I then also ate later). FAT KID PARTY!
  • I had 10 last night.  :(
  • They released studies that Oreos are just as addicting as cocaine....I think I believe them.

  • @CocoBellaF—ever had Oreo balls? OMG… BEST THINGS EVER!

My old supervisor makes them for every fundraiser we have. Basically you put Oreos in a blender along with cream cheese and blend. Then, you roll into small individual balls and dip in chocolate.

@cocobellaF - with milk? cuz if so, color me jealous
  • Although... even with all of the stress, BF does help a lot. We had a conversation that completely through me for a loop. We were talking about getting married and he suddenly goes "One of the things I am excited for most is eventually having kids"

Shocked the stress right out of me for a few minutes!
  • I'm with @swazzle and @cschiano - Stress = Wine and weight gain for me.  Which probably explains a lot why by body doesn't fit in my old clothes of late. Other than getting married to H whom I love and adore (which is a huge plus, don't get me wrong), 2013 can suck it.

@psychbabe314, awww, that is so cute about your BF! :) Hope you feel better soon, my darling.

You know you're stressed (if you're me) when:
-Chocolate and Diet Coke compose more than half of the food you consume in a 24-hour period.
-You straight-up just don't eat anything (I eat all the time, but since Sunday I haven't eaten more than one full meal per day, because I'm stressed and anxious as hell).
-You burst into tears over episodes of your favorite sit-coms.
-After you burst into those tears, you can't even cry anymore when REAL STUFF is on your mind
-Like @KateJ16, 12 hours go by and you realized you haven't peed. This is quickly followed by a second realization: that you haven't had a single sip of water since 7 am anyway. This is followed by the sullen anticipation of a UTI.

    Stress. Watch out for it.
  • Ahhh, the joys of stress :-)
  • I know when I'm stressed because I get this weird tingly feeling in my back. It has something to so with the infection associated IBS I had over the summer :/ but I literally have to calm myself down to make it stop. Annoying.

Since that incident I've been working really hard on handling stress healthily. The more stressed I am, the more likely I am to eat 3 square healthy meals a day. So I just thought that was an interesting coping strategy cause its the opposite of a lot of what you guys put down...

I know fi is stressed when he snores more :)
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton
