Can anyone reccomend a harpist?  I just need them for the ceremony.

If you're going to be on Maui, we hired Celia Canty from Heavenly Harps.  Don't have a review for her just yet, but if you're wedding is after August, I can give you an update on how she did!

    Here's her website: http://www.heavenlyharps.com/

We booked her as well along with a violinist.  Thx. J. :-)

For Maui.   I spoke with Celia Canty, but I think shes a bit expensive.  I need her for just half an hour, but her minimum is One hour  - which is fine, but she quoted me $250.   I can do anything up to $200.00.  I know its only $50 bucks, but that can add up.

I didnt think about a violinist.  I'll look into that as well.  Hopefully, they're a bit cheaper.

You might try Ginny Morgan - she seemed to offer the best rates as a harpist on Maui (well within your budget!).  She can also partner up with Alfred Wolf, who's a flutist.  The rate varies according to which side of the island your ceremony is (cheaper on the South side).  We ultimately went with Kristine Snyder, but her rate is a bit higher, since we wanted amplification.

On a side note, it might be a good idea for the harpist to work an hour, so they can play some music before (prelude) or after your ceremony.  Hope this helps!  :)

I highly recommend Kristine Snyder who is a wonderful harpist that just performed at my wedding last week with a cellist.  Please tell her Christina recommended her!
