Wedding Woes

I am going to stab someone.

This rant is brought to you by hormones.

Today the mail lady drops some packages off at the door. One of them is "Meaningful Beauty". I'm like WTF, I haven't been drunk in a long time so I didn't order this. I call DH- no, he didn't either. I call the company (and mind you, it took me 3 tries because their system kept hanging up on me) and no, according to them I did. But the account was created using my information and a credit card I don't have. I run our credit monitoring stuff, and as of now, no credit card has appeared that was created fraudulently and there is nothing dinging it as something wrong with my identity.

I really don't want to have to worry now about if someone really did get enough of my social security or whatever to open accounts in my name. I don't also want fucking Meaningful Beauty products right now. Between this and the other ninety million things that have popped up (like DH deciding this week was the best time ever to refinance our fucking house), I am over this sort of BS.

Re: I am going to stab someone.

  • Oooohhhh no.  That's bad anytime, but you have more than enough going on.

Now I need to google meaningful beauty.

  • It's some Cindy Crawford stuff, right?

I'm too lazy to use the googs
  • It is the Cindy Crawford stuff. I'm just paranoid about someone having my info because I dealt with this once ages ago and it sucked donkey balls.
  • Any chance someone ordered it as a gift for the baby shower?  Something to pamper yourself?  Maybe they used their card with your mailing info for some reason?
  • damn. I'm very PARANOID abt my information being out there and ppl using it.
I'd say keep an eye on your credit history.
  • I agree with PPs, keep a VERY close eye on your credit history, and check with the credit card company that this was bought under, get them to try to track down what happened. Good luck!
