Quick, Cheap, & Chic!

Hi everyone! I am looking at planning a wedding within a matter of 3-6 months (undecided) and I am hoping to spend less then $5k. I am a huge fan of anything rustic and love the outdoors! As I might be getting married in the cold weather, outdoors might not be an option! My ideal wedding would be in the fall, in a rustic barn, white lights everywhere, a few kegs, and a good time. If anyone has ANY ideas for last minute planning, inexpensive ideas, etc, please let me know! Thank you so much!!

  • Check the sticky at the top of the page. It lists all the rustic location we know of...
Check Cultural Arts Center too, not rustic, but might work for you.
Clintonville Women's might be a good option. Whetstone Shelter House. Not sure it Mary Orton will be open the month you are consider, but that is the place I would think would be most like what you are describing.

  • I love the cultural arts center. it was where I wanted to go but they are only open for weddings May- September and are booked. Check out the parks and recs department. They have a few rentable, heated shelters that would be good cheap options depending on your party party size.
  • There is a church you can rent out for a reception in Gahanna.  It may fit what you are looking for.

The Sanctuary in Gahanna...  It is a bare bones venue, you have to bring in EVERYTHING but it has some beautiful stained glass that fits into the fall theme perfectly.

  • The Ohio Village allows outdoors but will reserve an indoor space for free incase weather is not ideal.  It's really rustic and you could have a few kegs and even food trucks for a really laid back and fun event.
  • How about the Boathouse at Griggs Reservoir?  I want to say it was about $2000 for the rental but I'm not 100% sure on that.  It was a beautiful location, great view and would easily work with a rustic theme.  It wasn't quite big enough for our event.  I also liked that we could have food trucks there!
