Allo! I've been lurking for a few days and wanted to introduce myself. My fiance and I have been together for a little over 5 years now, and we're making it official 10/18/14. We're currently in the DC area, but our wedding is in my hometown up in Pennsylvania. Very excited to get to know you ladies :) *passes around plate of cookies*

    Welcome and congrats! 

    We share the same date and I am also from Pennsylvania and getting married there.  If you are planning on getting married in Pittsburgh or Philly, you may want to start looking for your reception site and vendors asap, as they tend to book 1-1.5 years in advance.

    Thanks PGL! Where in PA are you from? I grew up outside of Indiana, and the wedding will be there. Luckily we've already booked all the major stuff (venue, DJ, photographer) so now it's smooth sailing and stress-free right? ;)

    Wow, this is freaky - I am also in DC, getting married in my hometown in PA on 10/18/14!  He also proposed a few months after our 5 year anniversary.  Best of luck to you, wedding twin. :-)

    Congratulations!!  I also have been lurking for a while just to get some ideas.  My fiance and I have been together for 3 1/2 years and are getting married Oct. 25, 2014.  I also am from PA....about an hour north of Pittsburgh. I've been too scared to really say anything on any of the boards, but I figure I'll use this post as an opportunity to open up to everyone. :o)

    Well, I'm sitting here on the couch sitting next to my fiance and he asks, 'So?  Do you have a post on there yet?'...I guess that's my cue to joint he boards.

    I'm Laura, marrying Jason on October 4, 2014 in our backyard.  

    I look forward to getting to know all of you over the coming year and commiserating over the stress of planning our special days!
