wedding invitation etiquette

Hello,
I was wondering how would I invite two couples living at the same address? Can I put both Mr and Mrs. John Doe on one invitation? Or do i need to send out two separate invites to the same address?

For a couple that is living together but not married, the names go on different lines with no and:
    Mr. John Smith
    Ms. Mary Monroe
And on the inner envelopes it would be on the same line, only last names:
Mr. Smith and Ms. Mary Monroe

For a couple that are married, it would be addressed like:
    Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

If two sets of couples are living in the same residence, I would send two invitations.

  • send 2 invites, one for the first couple and one for the second.
  • Send each couple a separate invitation.
  • Send each their own invitation.
