Calligraphy

Anyone ever used a calligraphy pen to address their wedding invitations? How hard are they to use and make it look nice?

It takes a TON of practice to get good at calligraphy. It is so much harder than it looks.

    Agh... that's what I thought.

I used them but did not write in true calligraphy. They are good to use if you can write in a neat but artistic print. It is easy to them them and make it look nice, IF you don't try to do proper calligraphy :)

@photokitty maybe I'll practice and see what I can do with it.

I've done it with bar/bat mitzvah invitations.

It's not as hard as the PPs would have you believe, but in order to make your lettering look nice, practice does help.

I decided to learn how to do calligraphy for my wedding invitations a couple of months ago and bought a kit to learn how. With practice, I was able to write beautifully in calligraphy.  So, as long as you have enough patience to learn (it isn't the hardest thing to learn), then its doable! I am so glad that I learned to do it because now I am going to also use it on my place cards!
