MGM Signature Suites or Aria

Need some opinions.....

Looking for a room to stay in after the wedding.   Right now it's between the signature suites (probably the larger one with the balcony) or the standard Aria room.  Has anyone here had any experience in these rooms?   Thoughts?  Should I check out any other places.   It seems like Signature rooms are the best for the money with coupon codes.

Re: MGM Signature Suites or Aria

  • I've stayed in the Signature rooms and I really like them!  Bathroom is huge, bed is comfy and there is a small kitchen area with a fridge and microwave.  The strip views are nice too!  Only downside to the Signature is you have to walk a bit to get to MGM, the entrance to the Signature is right before the pool and spa at MGM.  They have moving walkways and a bar set up at night along the way.  We don't mind the walk, but it bothers some.

  • we've stayed in both! We had standard rooms both for the signature MGM and Aria. Aria is definitely newer and more "upscale". It's right in the center of the strip if you like to walk out and tour the strip - Cocacola and M&Ms are just across the street. The standard rooms at the signature are bigger than Aria's though (especially if you plan on staying in the larger ones even?). Like ktbabe530 said, they have the kitchen (with utensils and pots and everything). I don't mind the moving walkways to MGM either (it's indoor and really isn't that far). But MGM overall isn't as new as Aria either.. and to walk out to the strip from MGM will be very tiring lol.
Have you looked at Vdara? it's basically like Aria without the Casino (it's a 3 min walk from Aria, all under the "Citycenter" group). Vdara is cheaper than Aria for sure. I've been doing research lately as well.. for 5 star hotels on the strip, Vdara and Trump should be the least pricy.. but Trump is so far away from everything else.

  • thanks for the info...i'll check out vdara as well!

  • I stayed at the vdara on my scouting trip and it was lovely. So long as you are ok with no casino on site. It was very close to the Bellagio and Aria.

  • Vdara is also very nice, we had a one bedroom corner suite there.  Full size fridge, kitchen table for 4 and the bedroom had a door to close it off from the living room.  Views were amazing!  The only downside was the bar closes early and there are no late night food options.

I haven't stayed at Aria, but between the Signature and Vdara, I think I was happier at Signature.  You can't beat the restaurant options at MGM!
