So we were married on Saturday, October 12, at Chapel of the Flowers. I had the best week of my life in Vegas and despite a few hiccups everything went so well the day of. My and my Mr. are very happy

On the flight home I started doing some reviews. We got in midnight last night and have to be at the airport at 3 am to catch our flight to Jamaica for our honeymoon, so I wanted to post the reviews I have done so far. During some beach time or during the flight I'll work on some more reviews and share them next week when we get back.
Westjet - B-
Westjet is Westjet. The flights were on time which was great. We flew from St. John's, Newfoundland to Toronto, and then Toronto to Vegas. My main issue with them was in terms of travelling with my dress. After I checked in online I called and let them know I was travelling with my dress. The agent I spoke with told me she would put a note on my file and told me to tell the people at the airport desk when I got there because they could maybe store it in a closet for me. So while we were at the gate awaiting to board I told the girl there about my dress. She told me that there was no room in a closet for it. When I got on the plane I spoke with the flight attendant and she told me to wait until everyone else got on the plane and put their carry-ons away and then put the dress on top of that in the overhead compartment. At no point did anyone offer to help me stow the dress or offer solutions. It was the same on both flights which had different crews. It was very disappointing, especially because Westjet is the Canadian airline that touts itself as having great customer service. There's not many airline options for us, but I was hoping the crew would be a little more helplful and accommodating. When I got on the plane going to Vegas the flight attendant told me to wait until everyone else had their luggage stowed and suggested I sit in the seat with my dress bag on my lap. The seats aren't huge so FI and I had to squash in the seats and be smothered by the dress bag. Not cool. I would fly Westjet again, I just caution everyone travelling with their dress as crew were less than helpful. We flew home on United Airlines and they were much more helpful. I'll explain that more in Part two

Freeds Bakery - A+
We originally wanted to go with Retro Bakery but when I emailed them about a month and a half out they said they were all booked up for that day. They suggested we look into Gimme Some Sugar or Freed's Bakery. Based on reviews from TK (especially vegasgroom) we went with Freed's. Rather than have the cupcakes at the restaurant since desert was included we had it at our suite after the dinner. We had a cupcake tower with a 6 inch cake for cutting. I'll try and add a picture of it; it came out perfectly and was just like the pictures I saw online. For the cake top we had white cake with Bavarian cream and raspberry filling and vanilla butt cream icing. We had assorted cupcakes; a mix of chocolate, vanilla, red velvet and carrot. The cake and cupcakes were the absolute BEST I have ever tasted in my life. Everyone raved about it. Not only did it look beautiful, but it also tasted divine! We got it delivered and while it was almost late, it did arrive on time. I requested delivery between 12noon and 2 pm, and around 1:20 the driver called and asked if it would be okay to come at 2:20pm. I told him that wouldn't work because we were getting picked up to go to the chapel around that time. The driver said he would be there by 2:00 and he was. He set up the tower and was quite professional. One of the most heartbreaking parts about the trip was when we left and had to leave behind some cupcakes. I can't say enough good about them; I'm sure I'll be dreaming about the cake for months and months. Highly recommend!
Canaletto in the Venetian - A+
I did a lot of research about places to have our dinner after our ceremony. I checked out so many places and read a ton of reviews. Part of the reason why we picked Canaletto was there was no pesky food and beverage minimum. A lot of places I looked into had a $5000 food and beverage minimum, and since we didn't have a huge crowd it was important for us. The menu choices and prices were also very reasonable. I was somewhat unsure how the food would be because we saw some reviews saying the food was mediocre and nothing special. I was pleasantly surprised. Me and hubs both really enjoyed our meals, and everyone else said they did too. We had menu option 1, with bread, salad, choice of salmon, chicken, steak or pork pasta, and a apple crepe for dessert. I had the salmon and I enjoyed it. The portion sizes were perfect. The service was great and the atmosphere was beautiful. We were in the Rialto room which had two different views of St. Marks Square and a great deal of privacy. For my two nephews we ordered a la carte and had cheese pizza and spaghetti. The portions of those items was particularly enormous. I was hoping to have enough time to go back and order off their regular menu but we ran out of time.
Bella Brides - B+
Michelle from Bella Brides is such a sweetheart! She came to the hotel and did hair and airbrush makeup for me, my maid of honor and my mom. My mom has really
short hair so I didn't book Michelle to do her hair, she did use the curling iron on it a bit and didn't charge me and those few little things made such a big difference!
I'm a makeup junkie but my mom isn't into the whole hair and makeup thing and after Michelle was done with her she looked better thank I've ever seen her. Her
prices were comparable to the other artists out there. I loved my hair; it was exactly what I wanted and man did it stay in place! I was on top of the double decker bus
and it barely moved. My MOH's hair got a little tousled because her hair is shorter and finer, but it still looked fabulous. The makeup help up really well too. The only
reason I'm not giving Bella brides an A is because I emailed her a few times throughout the process and i didn't always receive a response. Also, while I loved my
makeup I would have liked something with a bit more coverage. I have a few dark spots from blemish scars and they showed through a bit more than I would have
liked. Overall I am very happy with the work Michelle did, and like I said, she is an absolute darling. She was so pleasant and got on great with us.
