THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

Re: Help with STD Magnets on a budget!

  • Vistaprint.

FWIW, we designed our own STDs in MS Publisher and Powerpoint and printed them for 10 cents apiece as 4x6 matte photos from Shutterfly. Placed them in cute envelopes bought on sale at Michaels...and voila...25 cents apiece plus postage. You don't HAVE to order them from somewhere.
  • did you place them on magnets?
  • No, but you can get a roll of self-adhesive magnet for like $3 at the craft store if it's really important to you.

Most people have plenty of magnets already on their fridge, so we chose to not waste the money.
  • We did ours through Vista Print. Came out great. I believe we paid under $100 for about 70 or 80 of them and that included the decorative envelopes (which cost extra). Look on Groupon.com and search VistaPrint in their search engine. They always have a deal through them. Use your FI email and yours and get two coupons and do 2 separate orders. So worth it. Everybody loves them. Good luck!
  •  Another Vistaprint vote! We purchased our STD magnets through them too. We designed them ourselves, and included one of our engagement photos scanned to the front. They turned out great, and were incredibly affordable! Loved them! :)

  • MagnetStreet or Vistaprint.

If you do Vistaprint, you can buy a groupon-( currently running $15 for $45) and use a coupon code from online (http://www.retailmenot.com/view/vistaprint.com).  I found one that took 50%off the entire purchase, then applied the groupon to it. (Score!!- I was surprised that I was able to use both) You can get a discounted coupon for MagnetStreet too but the savings from Vistaprint was better.

    GL!
  • Savethedatemagnet.com is where we got ours.

  • We got 50+ magnets from Vistaprint for about $20. We loved them!
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I purchased my STD magnets from VistaPrint, and we absolutely LOVED them.  We ended up purchasing 55 STD magnets, thank you cards, envelope stickers, and return address stickers ALL for $53! So, you really can't beat that price. And regardless of its cheapness, the quality was superb! I highly recommend VistaPrint!

  • Another Vista-Print vote! I just ordered $100 STD'S and 480 return address stickers(for my own use not for wedding purposes) and I got it all for $60 and free shipping. Retail-me-not has a great coupon code out there right now. I know several friends/family members who used vista print and they came out great.

  • THANK YOU EVERYONE.
I just orders 40 STD magnets, 48 return address labels, 50 envelope seal stickers, all personalized. For $34.00 I'm so glad I asked for help! Thanks guys!!!(:

  • Just some further info you may need:

You need envelopes or cards or something to send the magnets in. What I did was get some pretty card stock/envelopes from Target (I think it was Target) and some glue dots (like the stuff credit cards, bank cards, etc have to keep them stuck to the paper) and stuck the magnets to those. I loved how they turned out.

  • I designed my own STD magnets and printed them at home.  I made them business card size and printed them on pre-perforated business card paper that I already had at home.  I then bought adhesive/magnetic business cards from Staples and stuck my printed cards on them.  I got lucky and we had a Staples store that was closing down and I found the business card magnets on clearance!  I also looked at magnet rolls that would have worked well too.  But, even if you print them yourself on regular weight paper, it should be fine, since the magnet will add weight to it.
