This video is posted on a local news website, I think it's super cute.  I know that there have been a lot of versions of this done, but this is from my hometown, I think they did a great job, and it's just fun.

    That is really cute.  Was just watching Dirty Dancing yesterday.  :) 

    H and I thought about doing that dance but we instead went with the Tango from Scent of a Woman.  Dancing lessons were so much fun in advance of the wedding.

    Aw, I'm sort of jealous of your dance.  H is a 6'4" white guy with no rhythm.  We didn't have any dancing at our wedding at all.  I get my fix at Zumba and WERQ classes.  And other peoples' weddings.

    Don't worry @radleyboo - H is 6'3" (I'm 5'4") and he had no real moves before lessons.  He was a champ in learning though.  Anything he tried to learn he does 100% so he did great.  We almost couldn't do the dance because we hadn't practiced in my dress (though we did practice with a big hoop skirt).  Every time I went into a backward step, I would step on tulle (we tried to do a mock of the dance before we went out).  I was pissed so I pinned up the tulle (H told me to cut off the bottom of my dress) and my dress looked odd but we made sure we got to do the dance.  :) 

    We had such a blast at lessons and our dog freaked out every time we tried to practice at home (i.e., "What the hell are you guys doing?!?) and tried to get in between us while dancing...don't know if he thought the Tango was fighting or something?

    I'd love to dance - I adore social dance, but BF doesn't dance at all. Eventually I hope to get him to see how important it is to me, and maybe he'll agree to lessons or a dancing club (we live in a college town, there are dozens of student organizations) or something.

    Super cute! H is not a fan of dancing unless he's got a few drinks in him and can happily make a fool of himself. I would love to take dance lessons sometime. @minskat30, if we can't get our H's to go, I'll be your partner!

    @suzie211 - Maybe my H can get your H to go...I was surprised at how into it he got.  I think he wanted to impress people at our wedding though.  :)  I would totally be your dance partner if we can't get them to go. :)  I LOVE dancing

    Haha, this is basically how Fi and I both feel about dancing.  I'm super nervous for our first dance because pretty much all we can do is the Prom Sway.  Maybe dance lessons would be a good idea!

    Ha! Prom Sway!!!! Pretty sure that's exactly how our first dance looked. I was 100% okay with it.

    Haha, I like that he did the whole speech beforehand. Did it fit? Not really. But super sweet. :) They were so enthusiastic and rocked that lift!

    Ahhhh. I love dancing. I love it more with a little champagne in me so I'm not stressing about how ridiculous I look. ;) Someday when I have time and funds I hope I can take some lessons, just for fun. I doubt I'd ever get really fantastic at it, but it's a great way to move around and be active and NOT hate your life while doing it.

    Oh my goodness! So amazing! I just love that song and the movie and this was so cool that they reenacted it at their wedding! 

    FI and I took dance lessons before we got engaged and we still practice the moves we learned every now and then but I don't think we would ever attempt something like this. I would be so nervous lol.
