How's it going? 

There were 23 confirmed tornadoes on Sunday in the state, but no deaths.  That's pretty amazing.  DH's uncle had some property damage to his rental properties outside of Peoria, IL, but I think the rest of his family out that way is OK thankfully. 

I think I have DH convinced that we need to put up our Christmas tree this weekend.  DefConn is already asking what he's getting for Christmas (he wants a 'baccum, which he's definitely getting.  :)).  

I'm so ready for my day off tomorrow, even though it includes a flu shot and a mole removal.  At least I can nap.

    Holy moly! That's a shitton of tornadoes!

    I can't believe Hanukkah is next freakin' week! We didn't go all out for DD this year. She has so much stuff already. Plus there are our families and my IL's friends who get her stuff. Apparently MIL's BFF is getting her an American Girl Bitty Baby doll (I was sticker shocked when I checked it out online).

    I'm so done with this week. I'm exhausted, emotional, and just want a break. We leave for San Francisco on Monday, but that's going to be anything but relaxing.

    I have the start of a nasty cold.  You know when you can just tell?  Ugh.

    Today is DH's day off.  We usually do some running but I don't really have anything for us to do.  We really need to go through the kids' toys here at home and decide what to get rid of/donate.

    Husband has already been informed that we are not putting up our tree until 1 December because I put off Christmas as long as possible. I agreed to put together our winter-themed Lego set on the 30th, but the Portal tree won't be placed until the first Lego set is pulled from the Advent calendar. He has accepted this fate.

    This morning, I bought our tickets to fly from NYC to Oslo! One flight purchase down, four to go! And then two train ticket purchases, heh.

    And immediately after purchase, I got an eMail from Capital One telling me to call them immediately because they'd locked my account because they thought it was being used for nefarious purposes. It's like... Norway. NORWAY. I'm not suddenly buying tickets to North Korea (as much as I'd love to) or Afghanistan. Norway. Chill yourselves.

    We're still working on tday plans. DH doesn't quite understand why I need to know- I need to prep 6let and get food covered if we aren't going.  I need to buy food if we are.  I also need to pull together the camp stuff. 

    I booked Max's 1 year pics for this Saturday.  DH is all "it's soooo early."  I know, but I don't care.  Holidays made it tough and I'm not going to Target.  I booked a real photog. 

    I have all my shopping done except for Max.  He has too much for Christmas OR bday, but not enough  for both.

    OMG the f-ing ambulance chasing lawyers are blowing up my phone with calls and texts.  And hand-delivered mail.  WTF.  I am so over this.  F-ing juggalos.

    HA!  It's only the beginning AF.  I received a TON of mail after my accident last year.  

    One lawyer was nice enough to send me a pen.  I may have hired her if I had an injury claim.  :)

    2) if you know you'll be making a large purchase, call them in advance and let them know. it will prevent the fraud lockdown. same thing with travel - give them a heads up before the trip.

    I'm at work, and am trying to prevent a full blown migraine. My head started hurting in the car, and it's only getting worse. I took one pill already and am trying to avoid the second because I'll get really tired and a little loopy.  I have 2 supplier meetings today, so I need to try and make it through until 3.

    In April, I paid like $980 for tickets to get from Nashville to California and they didn't bat an eyelash, but the tickets today were $500. Apparently they just hate Norway or something.

    How is it only Tuesday? It feels like it should be later.

    Today the hutch DH and I bought gets delivered and then I can unpack our good china and crystal.

    Our tday plans are still up in the air because DH's effing grandmother can't make up her damn mind. She now wants us to host a dinner for between 8 and 15 people at our tiny, two-BR apartment. Yeah, no.

    ETA: Fix smarty-pants phone typo.
