has getting engaged made you a crybaby?

I cry watching anything wedding related now.... say yes to the dress, my fair wedding all of those shows bring on the waterworks

Is it the same for you ladies? What triggers the tears?

Re: has getting engaged made you a crybaby?

  • All the time!  I feel like I have no control over my emotions!

  • Yes its so annoying.... my triggers are always when they walk down the aisle or when they jack them up and everyone starts crying
  • All. The damn. Time.

Sometimes my fiancé and I are just sitting on the couch playing video games and I burst into tears over how happy I am that we're getting married.

The first wedding I went to after we got engaged, I cried like a baby. And they weren't even my good friends, they were my fiance's.

Not sure what's happening to me.
  • Yeah, it's BAD.  I mean, great?  Happy tears all the time, and we've been engaged for a year now.

"I'm not a rude bitch.  I'm ten rude bitches in a large coat."

  • Nope.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Nope.

I cried during my wedding, not others. Getting engaged didn't make me cry more.
  • Yes. I get worked up over the DUMBEST things.
  • Definitely. Especially when I watch wedding videos that my videographer has posted, they make me so weepy!

  • I bawled when he actually proposed, but I haven't since then while being engaged. More so envy watching these shows because they are all getting married soon and I have to wait 3 years. Ugh money...

  • I was really weepy watching wedding things before we got engaged. yes, I was that girl. I cried when he proposed and was weepy in the first two weeks or so but now not at all.
  • I have always been a crier. I cry ALL.THE.TIME. I have cried during commercials, I have cried listening to random songs on the radio, literally anything can trigger it. So of course I cried when I got engaged, and on my wedding day, and I cried at all of the weddings I have ever attended lol.

  • I've always cried really easily, but now anything wedding related makes me cry. My mom actually called me the other day to tell me everything wedding related makes her cry as well.

  • Yup. I can't remember what movie I was watching last week, but it was romantic and I was crying my eyes out.
  • Nope, not a crier.  Pretty much only cry if I'm THAT angry/upset, or if someone has died/is about to die.
  • I was watching a vid from someones wedding on youtube. One of the grooms friends started his speech he litterally was lost for words! he didnt say more then I love you man, I'm so proud of you, you've been a friend and a bunch of I dont know what to say's but I started bawling (so did the bride in the video) I really dont know why.... but my crying is that bad lol
  • I noticed that I tend to cry at more wedding related things.
  • Yes definitely... most of all when listening to our planned wedding songs and imagining walking down the aisle/first dance etc. Also, proposal videos on youtube!

I am an emotional hot mess!!!!! I cry at everything wedding related. The best was when I was a bridesmaid in one of my bridemaid's wedding of her own in September, one month after I had gotten engaged.....quite a few pics of me crying during the ceremony!
  • I have been married for almost 6 months now, and still watch wedding shows, and still cry.  I cried watching them before I was engaged though too, lol.  BUT I did not cry over anything wedding related to me-- the proposal, the dress, nothing.  I did cry however on my wedding day when my dad came in and started crying, thanks dad!

    Anniversary
  • Nope, not even a little bit.  I'm not a crier at all though.  Heck, I'm pregnant right now and I still don't cry at anything.
  • When I was in a long distance relationship, I used to get a bit chocked up when I saw people kissing on TV, which is odd because I am usually the type that only cries when a death has occurred or I am upset.  Wedding shows never did it for me though, even the first kiss at the altar.
