Save the Dates... with kids?

Would it be innapropriate to have a picture with our children on our STDs? We will probably have two or three pictures on them I know it is all about the union of FI and I, but our children (they are our kids together) are a big deal
Plus our engaemenr pics are kind of cheesey and while the pictures of the kids are cheesey as well, people like their cheese. I feel silly sending out pictures of just the two of us since many of the people getting these STDs always want pictures of the kids. They make us look better too :)

I'm on the fence though. What would you think if you got a STD with kids in one of the pics? They were part of our engagment shoot so they "go", not a random family portrait.

    I don't think its a huge deal if you do but personally, I would not include your children. The marriage is between the two of you - yes the kids are part of the new family but they're not taking vows. Include a family photo with all the kids in your holiday cards.

    Since this for a wedding, I think you do need to emphasize the two of you.  Even if the people you are sending them to always want pictures of the kids, I'd save the pictures with kids for other occasions.

    Although nothing surprises me these days,  I would think it was strange to recieve a STD with a family photo on it.

    This is similar to what I had in mind. Minus the photogs water mark of course. So it's definitely about us, but the kids are there. Maybe not this exact picture but you get the idea.

    I agree if you do a photo STD, it should be just the 2 of you. Your children are not getting married. You and your fiance are. This is not a family photo moment.

    It's cute, but it looks kind of confusing.  I'd stick with a save-the-date design that is just about the bride and groom.

    You don't have to do a picture at all. Just because you have engagement pictures doesn't mean they have to go on the save the date.

    Ditto.  Our STDs didn't have our photo.  I do think the one with the kids in the background is cute though.  As long as the kids are not the main focus of the photo, I think it's ok.
