Blood on Wedding dress!!!

So I took my dress to get altered and the seamstress pricked her finger with a pin and got two specks of blood on my Maggie Sottero satin wedding dress. I was in shock. She simply said "Don't worry I can get that out. There's never been a stain I couldn't get out." I was in shock. I didn't want to throw a fit because I am afraid they will not do a good job on my alterations but I'm APPALLED that they got blood on my dress and were so casual about it. I was tempted not to leave my dress there but I didn't want to take it with blood on it. What should I do???

    Tell them you want to see the stain removed before they alter your dress.  Make sure the owner of the shop is aware of the incident and involved in all communications to mitigate it. 

    Honestly, I bet it's not the first time someone who works with needles all day has gotten blood on a dress. Hopefully that means they have experience in removing the stain. Good luck!

    That happened on an episode of SYTTD I watched and they got the blood out.  If you are really concerned, speak to the owner, as southernbelle0915 suggested, and tell them what happened and that you would like to go in to see/double check once the stain is removed that it is truly removed.

    She said she'd get the stain out, so give her a chance to do that. It's actually not that hard to remove small specks of blood. I usually use hydrogen peroxide.

    Lady who sews (sometimes) here--when you play with needles all day, the occasional pin prick is something to be expected. I really think your response could be better--this woman was working for your benefit and injured herself, however lightly. This post doesn't sound the tiniest bit caring or concerned, just annoyed about where she dared to bleed.

    This is a professional shop, right? So make sure the manager knows what happened, that this is documented, and that they know what remedy you expect. Try to relax though; blood stains really aren't that tough if you deal with them right away.

    Definitely make the manager aware of the situation. From here on out, just to cover your tush, make a note of any correspondence you have with the shop, i.e., "Spoke to [manager's name] 11/26/13 at 4 p.m. He assured me [blah blah blah] and said the dress would be good as new when I stop in for my next fitting on 12/15/13." This way, if there's a hiccup, you have proof of everything! Sometimes, especially when you speak to different people, they have no idea what you're talking about when there's a customer service issue.
