Veil advice needed!

I have purchased my wedding gown and now I need to decide which veil works best with it?

Elbow length?

Finger tip length?

Cathedral?

with bling?

lace?

ugh help!!!!

Such a pretty dress! Because of the pick up skirt and the embroidery on the bodice, I would stay away from anything with lace - it may compete with the rest of the dress. Id probably choose an elbow-lengh and unadorned veil.

When I was shopping for my veil I found it really helped to take pictures of the different options with the dress, and review them later when I wasn't under pressure later. It made it really obvious what worked and what didn't work with my dress.

brightstar88, My dress is also busy at the bottom (although with flowers, not pick-ups). I always thought I would want a loooooong veil but I don't want anything to compete with the bottom of the dress. I think you're in the same situation. I would recommend elbow length with subtle beading to complement the beading on your dress. Like this maybe:

It completely depends on the designer and/or the store. Some stores/online vendors keep in-stock ready to ship popular styles that are available right away. I ordered a custom veil from an etsy seller and it took two weeks to ship. Some custom veils can take 2-3 months.

I agree that with the various design elements of your dress, you should choose an unadorned veil. What length you choose depends on the look you're going for. More whimsical? Choose a shorter veil. More classical? Go for a longer veil.
