I need advice on the wording for invitations. I've thought I've done a good job on finding the best soultion, but I was totally wrong. I'll explain.
I have several family members helping out with different expenses for the wedding, which I am extremly thankful for. My fiances parents are pitching in just a little bit too. However, the Groom and myself are paying the largest portion of the wedding out of our own pockets. I must also add that my parents are in the middle of a divorce and one side is helping out with expenses and the other is not.
So, to show the support from multiple family members on both sides, I came up with this wording for the invitations. (They have not yet been ordered...)
"Together with their families
Request the honour of your presence
At the marraige of their children"
To me, this shows that we have received support from both sides of our families (including grandparents, aunts & uncles). However, one parent is not happy until their name is listed on the invitation. I don't know what to do? I've had such a hard time making everyone else happy during this whole planning process... I'm about worn out! Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas?
Thanks!
