Order of the Bride and Groom's Names on Personalized tems

I know that on invitations, the bride's name goes first. What about anything else personalized for the wedding? Does the brides name go first or the grooms?

I don't know about ettiquette for such things, we just ordered them in the way that sounds better when said out loud. In our case it's his name first. I don't think anyone is going to give two shiits about what order our names are in.

You're not supposed to separate the groom from his last name, so the bride goes first.

Most of the personalized things I've received at weddings (favors, cocktail napkins, ect) have all had the brides name first. Either way you do it is going to be fine! Nobody will be looking at what order the names go in, they will be looking at you!

OR, you could skip the personalization all together. Nobody wants favors/WP presents with someone else's name on them.

Thanks all! I was pretty sure it was the brides but not 100%.

Tide- We aren't personalizing favors- it's for toasting flutes, napkins, etc.

Related question: even if the last name isn't used on whatever the personalized item is, does the rule still apply (because obviously the last name still exists even thoughit isn't actually appearing on said obect)?

I believe the bride goes first before the wedding and the groom after. If you're writing it out separately.

So before the wedding:

Meredith and Oliver

After the wedding:

Oliver and Meredith

Unless you include the last name. Then it's ladies first. Meredith and Oliver Jones. (man isn't separated from his last name.)

I don't know about that one, I just knew that rule from when I worked at Things Remembered. We always pushed the last name for more engraving
