Accommodation Info Included With Save The Date

I know I saw a discussion on this already but I cannot find it today for the life of me. I am sending my save the dates for my wedding next summer in the next few weeks. More than half our guests will be coming from more than an hour away. We are getting married at a country Inn and they have advised us that the sooner our guests can book the better as it is their busy season. They are holding a room block for us however, I know that will fill quickly and I really want to make sure everyone who needs/wants a room has the information plenty of time in advance. I also called a few bed and breakfasts in the area and got their information as well. I have it all on our wedding website but I know most likely people will not go there to look. I am thinking of just getting some pretty cardstock and printing the information myself and including them with the save the dates. Would this be the best route to go?

Re: Accommodation Info Included With Save The Date

  • I think your plan sounds fine.  Our save the date includes "A limited number of rooms are blocked for our guests at {Hotel Name}.  Rooms must be reserved by {date} in order to receive a discounted rate" on the back.  We included this information on our website as well as links to the websites for other area hotels.  On the website we also indicate that rooms do tend to book quickly in the area. Getting the info out with your save the dates should give guests plenty of time to make travel arrangements.

  • I like your idea of including this information with your save-the-dates.  It will help your guests when making their travel and lodging arrangements.
  • Yep, I agree as well. We'll be sending our STDs out at the end of this year/early next year for our September '14 wedding and will be including that info, as most of my family will be from OOT.
