Help for a reception in Vegas

Hi Guys,

Some help would be very much appreciated!

Partner and I are from UK and planning our Vegas wedding whooo hoooo!!! We love Vegas J the ceremony will be held at Bellagio on the Terrace, but we have been trawling the sites trying to find somewhere to hold our wedding reception dinner and thought we had settled on Maggianos, however….. Since then have been wondered whether we want something a little bit different (not too weddingy) if that makes sense. We are still waiting on replies from guests but predict about 25-30. We have also looked at the Renaissance room Stratosphere Towers as this has the wow factor!

If we were to stick to Maggianos has anyone any pics of the Abruzzi Room as this is where we would hold it due to only a small group. I didn’t know if it looks quite small and dark on their website and I was hoping to have a first dance in there.

If you have any other recommendations to look into I would be soooo happy as its hard trying to plan when you can’t see the actual venue in person. Somewhere with good atmosphere and awesome food!

We have budgeted for about $75-80 per head and hoping for an open bar.

Thanks very much x

  • I've been looking at the Stratosphere private rooms and the menu's start at 75.00/pp.  I was interested in just serving beer/wine/soda and they were willing to do a 3 hour package for an additional 30.00/pp.  So that would be 105.00/pp :)  good luck and keep us posted on what you decide on.

  • We're having our reception at BB King's at the Mirage.  It's definitely not weddingy, just a more casual atmosphere.  What sold my FI was their live entertainment.  We went there to check out the band and they're really good, they'll even play your first dance song.  The only drawback I've found is that they don't have a private room.  So the whole restaurant can see you, your party is just kind off to the side.  If that doesn't bother you, it seems like a relaxed place with a cool vibe.

  • We're booked at Maggiano's for our reception, so I can't give you other options.  It was the only place we considered.  FI's employer hosts large Christmas parties at a different Maggiano's and we love it!

Maggiano's LV has a photobucket account with lots of pictures.  There are only four pictures in the Abruzzi album, but you can check out all of the albums.

Maxaroni...me FI and I were looking at BB King's Blues club for a reception! I really love that place. What kind of price were they quoting you for your reception there if you don't mind me asking??

  • We chose the Lucille plated dinner which is $40/person.  So she said with 60 people they won't need to set a F&B minimum, because we will meet it.  They seem pretty flexible with making accommodations.  We asked if we can make some substitutions  because we didn't like the appetizer choices that came with the package, and they said it shouldn't be a problem.

I can't speak to the reception side of Koi, but I've been to the Koi in NYC.  The food is insane. :)
  • Try Firefly...$30pp for food and $25pp for beer/wine (open bar for 2 hrs) so that's under your budget at $55pp!!
  • I am doing my reception at Tower 10 at Tahiti Village resort Las Vegas... they give you 4 different choices for entrees etcetera. It's a great room with a view of the entire strip/ mountains that holds up to 100 people, private, and for a great price!
  • Hi andreanadine, how did your reception go at Tahiti Village resort? I am looking into this location as a potential ceremony / reception.
