I just called him and he's together right now. Dad had a chronic adult leukemia and finally succumbed over this past year. I didn't know his dad too well. I'm close his mother and stepfather, they're like my second family. I only met his bio dad once, at BF's graduation.
He's hoping for funeral on Saturday, but isn't sure yet. Keep your fingers crossed that the blasted snow stays gone. I'm going no matter what, but I'd like it to stay a 3 hour drive and not become 6 or worse, impossible.
