It's so quiet!  My RSS feeder is empty too.

But I don't really have anything to post either.  My motivation is at an all time low.  I really just want vacation to hit so I can take a long break and come back feeling refreshed.

Futurama Season 10 is on Netflix, so we've been watching that.  I'm holding my breath that the dishes I ordered get here by the 19th.  It said 2-7 days for shipping, left out the 1-3 for order fulfillment until my e-mail receipt.  Oops.

It looks like I'll be president of my freethinkers group. I alternate between really excited and pumped, to absolutely fearful.  Funny story:  There has been a lot of trouble with another member in the group.  She had nominated herself to run against me and then withdrawn her nomination, a total of 3 times.  The last time, she stated, "I don't want anything to do with the board if Varuna is involved with it".  Well, I wasn't stepping down from running.  So, I'm running unopposed.  On the voting site, you have to have 2 choices, so it was Varuna or None.  Someone has voted for None.  Hm...wonder who that could be.  :)

    I'm so ready to have Christmas week off.  My head is full of all the things that need to be done and when they need to be done (mostly Christmas related, of course).  I really don't have any room up there for work stuff.  Blah. 

    I think I'm overtired or something, because I'm still really affected by SoA from last night.  It's colored my mood all day today. 

    I really need to figure out how the hell to use hot rollers in my hair because something needs to happen with my hair on Saturday for my work party.  I want something that looks good...It doesn't have to be awesome.  Just not 'every day hair' and not 'hot mess'.

    HA! I watched a few videos and it's like I know what I want my hands  and hair to do, but making them do it the way my brain wants them to is a different story.  I have two left hands, LOL.

    Has anything gone right yet?  B/c so far, I dislike nearly everything about it.  It seems to follow the formula of: bad episode, bad episode, ready to give up yet episode, sucked you back in with an actual human and interesting story didn't I, repeat cycle.

    I'm enjoying Arrow though. I didn't think I would, but it's actually quite good and John Barrowman.

    I have been told that Arrow is good, and features Jackson from Teen Wolf, but I'm always hesitant to try to get into an already-running show.  I need to do this sometime with both Arrow and The Good Wife.

    I really wish for once that Ming Na would be in something that isn't doomed.

    I didn't know that Jackson guy had been in Teen Wolf, friends told me about this.  It is only maybe 1/3rd into Season 2, Netflix has season 1, so you wouldn't be playing catch up too hard.  But you would have to start at the beginning, b/c there is a lot going on and you would be lost.  The entire island plotline is massive and is continuing to be so.  Very good.

    ETA:  If you've ever read the Harry Dresden series, there is a SciFi series that was made, only one season.  The guy that played Harry is the main detective in Arrow.

    Na's character is one that really frustrates me.  Each character right now is just a stereotype of some sort.  Ming Na could be Michelle Yeoh in Flying Tiger, Hidden Dragon (though I think that character at least had some depth and interest).  It's just that Asian woman fighter stereotype.  I'd say Wade is even worse with his childhood drama, except you still have Skye who is just eye roll worthy at everything.  As bad as I think everyone is, that character is the worst and I wish the actress wasn't on the show.  

    One glint of awesomeness is Fitz and Simmons.  I do love them, they just make me laugh and seem so much more genuine in the face of all of the other's awfulness.

    @returnofkuus Have you been reading the Mary Sue's recap of BSG?  It's been fun, though the writer tends to get a bit long winded.  She's in the last season and I've been waiting for her to discover Ellen and Gaeta's death.  She took Gaeta's death really hard.  Now I just want to watch that series again.

    No!  I will give it a try.  I only read Jacob Clifton's long-winded recaps of it.

    I'm conning 6let into helping me with things- putting the return address on Christmas cards and licking the envelopes.  He also strung a bunch of cheerios for Max's first birthday party.  Now he's using my cotton rounds to make a snowman army.

    I really want to start wrapping presents, but I need to put some stuff together/charge/etc.  I've learned the hard way these normally patient kids don't do well with waiting for crap to get unpackaged.
