Things you like and things you don't

The boards are kinda slow today so...... I'll go first:

Things I like:
- brand new socks. So cushy and un-pilled.
- the "gingerbread" look of Christmas lights on a house
- when no one sits in the seat in front of me on an airplane
- finding money I forgot about in the pocket of a seasonal jacket
- using a laser pointer to play with my cat
- when DH calls me as I'm driving home from work and tells me when I get home he's taking me out. yesssss!

Things I don't like:
- people standing too close when you're in line
- "required" attire - DH (a GM in this wedding) and I are going to an RD tomorrow where the bride said "NO JEANS". It's at a super casual restaurant.... We are wearing jeans.
- french fries that aren't fresh. I realize this sounds snotty, but if I'm going to waste 800 calories on it, it needs to be good.
- people who don't keep kleenex at their desk and sniffle all day 
- biting into an apple you think is fresh, but it's mealy
- when my cat climbs up in the Christmas tree so I can't put her to bed (ok... I kind of think it's cute, but moreso a PITA)

    i like: 
    -the smell of cooking in the kitchen (and me doing the cooking)
    -cozy-ing up on the couch with my FI and our 2 dogs after we just took them for a long walk
    -when the subway pulls up just after i walk in the station
    -the promise of friday night and the whole weekend stretching out before me
    -getting out of the city and into nature!

    i don't like: 
    -littering
    -spitting
    -when the train pulls away just as i'm waking into the station
    -waiting....on lines, in trafiic

    I like:

    -listening to Christmas music while knitting and cuddling with my dog

    -wrapping presents

    -baking delicious treats

    -leaving the gym after a good workout... I feel proud that I managed to drag my butt there in the first place

    -having dinner ready when I get home, I love slowcookers

     

     

    I don't like:

    -Monday mornings

    -waiting for mail to arrive when I'm expecting something

    -getting a text saying there is a dress code for the shower I'm about to attend - props for not putting it on the invitation???

    -getting told I have to wear a skanky costume for a bachelorette party...not happening!

    -making phone calls

    I like:
    Nights at home cooking dinner in my comfy sweats while drinking a glass of red wine 
    Cuddling with my dog (even if she takes up half the bed) 
    Listening to Xmas music 
    When it snows on the weekends 
    My comfy Ugg slippers 

    I don't like:
    Bitchy co-workers (I think everyone has PMS today) 
    When my hair is super staticy - it's driving me crazy 
    When people stand too close to me, especially when I'm waiting on line 
    Drivers that don't use their signals 
    And the dude that almost caused me to get into an accident this morning

    Things I like

    -Grilled cheese on rainy days

    -Snuggling on the couch with a good book

    -Meetings friends at the bar near my work

    -Getting packages in the mail

     

    Things I don't like

    -Cracking knuckles

    -Tailgating cars

    -Not being able to find a good avocado at the store

    I like:

    Goldfish crackers, knitting, snow, when my furbaby snuggles up with my on the couch, days when I can work from home, any mail that isnt a bill, yoga pants

    I dont like:

    Mushrooms, cats (sorry southern!) keeping secrets, that I wake up and its dark outside and when I get home its dark outside.

    I like...
    -Wine. At any and all times. Also Fireball.
    -Watching my dogs and the little unique things they each do...and the cuteness/ silence of them calming down and taking a nap
    -When stuff I ordered online comes in and I get to open it like it's a present
    -Leaving my TV on one of those channels that just plays music all the time while I do crafts/ wedding plan
    -Cheese.  String cheese, shredded cheese, cheese slices: cheese everything.

    I don't like...
    -Waiting for things.  I am incredibly impatient. (Like all these damn presents under the tree that I wanna open!  Annnd I'm waiting for my wedding gown to ship to my house!)
    -Clothes that you have to wash before wearing so the dye doesn't rub off.  Hi new jeans, I want to wear you now
    -When I open the fridge after thinking of the perfect meal and realizing I'm missing a key ingredient
    -Meat
    -Also the "required" attire thing: don't ask me to go somewhere and then tell me what to wear.  I'm exactly the kind of person who will do the opposite.  Oh you want me to wear my Sunday best?  Well on Sundays I wear pajamas and no bra.

    -a good home cooked meal - Especially Turkey dinner made by my grandma

    -satisfying sexy times

    -gift giving

    -gossiping with my friends :)

    -Family time

     

    Things I don't like

    -People being contrary just to be contrary

    -tailgaters

    -cravings that cannot be satisfied

    -slow days at work with nothing to do

    -injustice in all forms

    Yet another snow/wintery mix system heading our way on the day of the fricken store potluck which I've made two pumpkin rolls for, and am planning on making another two.

    Yes! Add this to mine. Ice is my enemy during the winter. I always slip when I walk to work and my morning run is out of the picture when the streets and sidewalks are iced up.

    -Whiskers on Kittens

    -Chocolate (or any sweet/food for the matter)

    -Disney Movies

    -Cuddle time with my FI

    Thing's I Don't like:

    -Traffic (who does?)

    -People who cannot comprehend common sense.

    -Any weather that keeps me indoors for days at a time.

    -Being woken up from a deep slumber.

    -Being Hungry.

    Things that I like:

    • My dogs and how I caught them cuddling this week.
    • My bed, pillows, jersey sheets
    • Hot cocoa
    • Watching SOA (sad face have to wait another year)
    • That I get to pick up my dress today.
    • Spending time with my FI on the couch watching movies.


    Things that I don't like:

    • The ridiculous questions I am being asked today.
    • Slurping noises
    • When people don't respect my personal space.
    • My MOH's ex-bf who is making her life sucky. He is the worst.
    • When someone tells me I should just get married now and have a PPD later (SIL did this).
    • When girls get too touchy feely with me because 'it's okay you're a girl too.'

    • Being able to cook dinner with my FI (Which we can only do 1-2x/week)
    • Putting on my slippers when my feet are cold
    • Being able to stay home on snowy/rainy days
    • Getting into my pajamas
    • A satisfying hike
    • Things that make me laugh
    Things I dislike:
    • Organic Chemistry
    • Overly ripe bananas/ the bottom nub of a banana
    • Having an opposite schedule to FI
    • People who don't return my phone calls when I need to get in touch with them for business purposes (Which is happening right NOW.. Grrrr!!!!)
    • Hitting the snooze button too many times

    I'm a little late to this party, but I just got home, so...

    I like:
    - That I just finished my first exam of the semester (and what I think will be the hardest one)!
    - Hummus
    - When my fat cat sleeps on me
    - Pedicures
    - A good book, a fireplace, and a beer

    I don't like:
    - Men who insist on sitting with their legs really wide apart on the subway.  No, you really don't need BOTH of those seats, sir.
    - Mushrooms, eggplant, and veal
    - Waiting... and waiting... for this last year of law school to go by
