Wedding Woes

I nearly killed the Mr. this morning.

Buffy has been getting up a lot @ night--apparently she prefers her mom sleep-deprived and ragey.

I was up with her 3? times to put her back to bed so, when she came into our room around 5, I was glad she was headed toward the Mr's side of the bed.  She said she was getting up and I told her it wasn't morning yet, it was still time for sleep.  There was more toddler-angsty-conversation and the Mr. said "well, then, get in bed between me and mommy"

I had visions, at that moment, of crushing his skull with the alarm clock. Even more when he put her in bed, then got up, went to the bathroom, puttered around for a few, and came back to bed--and proceeded to ignore the 77 "no, we won't talk about that now, now is time for sleeping" that I was having with Miss Buffy (and, literally, my ass was hanging out of bed because she is a close-talker/sleeper).

Eventually, just before the alarm went off at 6, he took her back to her room to put her back in bed.  And when he did said something about how he was surprised, given that the alarm was going off soon, that I had invited her into bed.
WTF?
Apparently with his hearing loss and morning (perhaps all the time) senility, he swears that he heard me invite her to come into our bed, which is why he reiterated.

This should now lead to about 3 weeks of her trying to sleep with me.

*grumble*
Also?  accounting screwed up our paychecks, so I don't now how much mine is for--I just know it's going to be shorted and, theoretically, they'll make it up on a new check tomorrow (but, of course, I don't work tomorrow, so it'll be made up on Mon.)

Re: I nearly killed the Mr. this morning.

  • BOO!

DefConn in our bed always ends badly for me.  He's a sprawler and I'm the one who gets pushed out. Mercifully, it happens once in a blue moon.

And boo to a shorted check.  At least they're going to fix it quickly, but it's still such a hassle.
  • Oh lord, FI and I don't have kids but I would die if he tried the "attached parenting" or whatever they call it even once.  Especially since once you try it, the kid will think it is ok and try to do it again and then you loose consistency, etc.
