    I'm debating converting or just corrupting. It's kind of a toss up. I'd be sort of content just to watch any one of them.

    Also, I'm not Catholic anymore. I just let them pay me.

    It just kept getting pounded into us at every sermon that women are terrible and sex is awful and the absolute worst thing you can do in the world is to be gay, or a slutty, slutty woman. 

    I'm done. I'm not adhering to anything that tells me I'm not a person and am not allowed to be. I have a daughter to raise, and she's not going to learn that, either. God and I are cool, but this church, man - You can't have an organization that's systematically committed sexual sins of the most heinous nature screaming at its adherents that consensual, loving sex is wrong because of the kind of junk involved. I won't stand for hypocrisy, and I won't stand for the abuse of children. 

    I will take their money and be vocally liberal and feminist. I will give that money to charities I believe in, especially if they happen to fly a rainbow flag. And I will read books during most of the sermons so I don't start shouting obscenities from the choir loft.

    When I worked for the doctor, I'd have to walk over to the hospital quite frequently.  I think one of the hospital chaplains wore the old fashioned long coat (I'm assuming some division of Catholicism).  Not only was that coat beautiful, he wore it quite well.  I was always happy to say hello.  :)

    That makes sense, Baconsmom.  I'm sure you're capable of keeping everything of value from Catholicism and passing that to Bacon.
