Wedding Invitations & Paper

invite oops

I have a folio style invite.  It comes unassembled....I'll paste Invite Card on Backing and Backing on the main portion of the unfolded folio (open the folio, making it long/tall, invite is a bit top-of-central --diff looking invite card, but concept clickable here).  There is a pocket below the Invite Folio Spot to slip in the RSVP card w/ env and the Accomodations card (would have been reception but it is all one venue so this made more sense.  They are printed and I am SU{ER nervous about assempbly but sure that will pass (will practice w/ reg notecards first to get the glue dots down).

The ^%#&$*(&*&* moment....

......in my first wedding, we had the wrong year on the STD..maybe 20% seem to have spotted it (based on asking them too, not just on who asked us).  well, the year's fine.

.......but I FORGOT THE TIME!!!!!!!  the last line on the invite card does say "Bruch reception and dancing to follow" (or close to that wording).  I really don't think I can talk myself into paying to reprint a section.  I'm leaning towards just writing the time on the RSVP cards.  The invites DO have the website so the info is there is a way and they'll have access even after retrning the card.  I feel like writing onto the invite card ruind the "pretty part" and it seems more appropriately matched to rsvp than accommodations.  I'll copy one and see where it looks best and "how" (i.e. run it through printer and add, do as a small label on clear background, try to write legibly (my writing is not good, but it I focus I can handle a small task like this)).

Thoughts?

Clearly, we all will have an oops....if this is my biggest oops, I was throw a party to celebrate the party!

    @clg1213

    I am sorry that you forgot the time. If it was the time to the ceremony start then I would either write neatly the time on there or reprint them. Not everyone will think to check the website or they might forget to with their own things they have going on.

    It's an oops but not a big one (compared to the other oops there could be).
  • The perfectionist in me would reprint them.   You spend all that money on pretty invitations and writing on them or adding a label would just cheapen the look. I'd move my budget around if needed to accommodate the reprinting.
  • Another vote to reprint… you'll feel so much better sending out the pretty invites that you paid for.
  • If you put the time on the RSVP - once they are sent back, guests may not remember the time unless they wrote it down.  I also vote re-printing.  I'm not sure who you did the invites through but you could possibly call and explain and see if you can get a deal on the re-prints?

    Thanks all.  I got brave (i'm a WIMP) and called.  added in that there is an insane amount of stress right now (dad died last month, FI's unit may be deployed (part of air national guard)....for the first time in generations.  they are being so very kind....and will certainly get lots of stars anyplace I can find (though i'll be vague so it doesn't wind up with people taking advantage of them)
